Posting your advert
Your advert is the public card people see when they search. Caregivers describe what they offer; parents describe what they need. It usually takes five minutes the first time, and you can come back and improve it whenever you like.
New here? The posting walkthrough covers every field in detail — what's required, what isn't, and what happens after you save.
Where the advert form lives
Open /my-post (menu: Create Post or Edit Post). An advert is published with your profile, so if you don't have a profile yet you first see a short explanation, Profile first, then your advert, with a Create profile button; once you save your profile we bring you straight back to the advert. If you already have an advert, the same form opens with your answers filled in. After signing in we also bring you here if you have a profile but no advert.
Three sections on one page
Adverts are no longer built through steps — it's all one page, split into three sections. The first stays open; you open the other two when you want them.
- Basics — country, city and district; title and description; email, phone and address. All four required fields live here: title, description, country and city.
- Help people find you — engagement type, children's ages and numbers, weekly availability, education and courses, languages and skills. These are the fields search filters on, so a blank means you won't appear in that search. The section shows how much of it you've filled.
- More detail — experience, the date you're free from, rate and date of birth. None of this affects whether search shows you.
Publishing isn't the last step
The publish button works as soon as those four required fields are filled, whether or not you've opened the other two sections at all. The idea is simple: better to have an advert you improve than one waiting until you've gathered everything. A collapsed section loses nothing — it's all saved with the form.
Adding your profile photo
Your advert and your card use the same photo as your profile, and it's added on a separate page. Open /my-profile and use Select photo — it saves itself as soon as you pick one, with no separate save step. We generate several sizes so it stays sharp. There's one photo per account; uploading a new one replaces the previous.
First save and approval
After the first save we take you to your advert's page, and the banner at the top says Awaiting review. Someone on our team reviews every new advert before it appears on /sitters or /sitter-jobs, usually the same day. Meanwhile only you can see it, and you can keep editing it on /my-post.
When we approve your advert
As soon as we approve your advert, we email you that it's live, with a link to it. From then on people find you in search, and you can start conversations and leave ratings.
If we don't approve it
If we can't publish your advert, we email you with the reason. The same reason is in the Not approved banner on your advert's page. Edit the advert on /my-post accordingly and save — it goes back to review automatically.
Editing later
Open /my-post whenever you like. Two kinds of edit behave differently, and that's the only thing worth remembering.
- Doesn't touch approval: engagement type, availability, children, languages, skills, certificates, education, experience, rate, start date, date of birth and district. Add to them freely — the advert stays published.
- Goes for review: title, description, email, phone, country and city — plus the short bio from your profile. That's the text other people read. The advert stays published while it does — visitors keep seeing the last approved version.
Archiving
An advert you haven't changed for a long time is archived and taken off the listings, so search doesn't fill up with adverts that are no longer current. Next time you sign in, the advert form opens: check the details and click Renew advert. It gets a quick review and then appears in the listings again.
Removing your advert
You can't delete an advert yourself — write to us at podrska@siterka.com. Bear in mind that without an advert you lose the ability to message other people. When an admin deletes the advert, your account, profile and bookmarks stay. If you want to leave Siterka entirely, see the account deletion section in /help/vas-nalog.
What publishing your advert unlocks
A published advert unlocks the rest: until your advert is published, you can't start conversations or leave ratings. The reason is simple — the person you write to or rate should be able to see who you are. You can always reply to messages others send you. If you'd rather not share your phone and email publicly, turn on Keep my contacts private in the first section — the advert still goes live and people reach you through messages.
