Getting started
From zero to your first message in about three minutes. Here's the short path through registration, email verification, and the screens you'll meet on the way in.
1. Create an account
Open /register from the header or footer. The form asks for the basics:
- Username — at least 3 characters; this is how you'll appear in chats.
- Email — we'll send a verification link here.
- Password — 8–20 characters with one uppercase, one lowercase, and a digit.
- Role — choose parent if you're looking for a sitter, or sitter if you want to be hired.
- Terms — tick the box to accept the terms and conditions, then press Join.

2. Verify your email
After Join, you'll land on a Check your inbox page. We send a verification link to the address you registered with — it's valid for 24 hours. Click the link and you'll bounce back to sign-in with an Email verified banner.
If the link expired, or you never received the email, use Resend verification to send a fresh one.

3. Sign in
Use /login with the same email and password. Forgot it? Use the Forgot password? link — we'll email a reset link, also valid for 24 hours.

4. First steps
If you're a parent
- Browse caregivers at /sitters and open any profile that catches your eye.
- Tap the bookmark icon to save sitters to /my-bookmarks.
- Describe your family at /my-post so sitters can find you in /sitter-jobs.
If you're a sitter
- Browse parent posts at /sitter-jobs to see who's looking.
- Build your sitter profile at /my-post — that's how families find you.
- Bookmark interesting families with the same icon; they collect under /my-bookmarks.
Both sides: edit your profile and avatar at /my-profile, and message anyone you've matched with from /chats.
