Frequently asked
How do you verify users?
Let's be precise about what verification covers. At registration we confirm an email address and nothing more — we don't run formal background checks or criminal-record searches. What is reviewed by a person is three things: every advert before publication, every message before it reaches the recipient, and every rating before it appears on a profile. So we always encourage you to do your own checking — talk to the person, ask for references from previous families, and arrange a short trial before committing.
How do I post an advert?
Register, fill in your profile, then your advert — it's all on one page, and only four fields are required. Once you save it, the advert goes to review: a person reads it before it appears in the public list, and we email you when it's live. Later changes to the title, description or contact details are reviewed too, but the advert stays published in its previous version meanwhile. The page address is set at the first save and doesn't change afterwards.
Why can't I send a message?
The most common reason is that you don't have a published advert yet. To contact someone you need an advert of your own that has passed review — whoever receives your message should be able to open your advert and see who is getting in touch. There is one exception: if someone has already written to you, you can reply without a published advert. Messages are exchanged only between parents and sitters, and every one is reviewed by a person before it reaches the recipient.
